Ms. Rajani Rastogi is a Social worker at Hamilton High. She runs the Student Welfare Fund at the school. It was amazing to learn from Ms. Rastogi that at Hamilton High School the social work team assists students and families that are homeless or underprivileged with food and other supplies on a regular basis. They work with students on free and reduced lunch program or students identified by other staff. Students are from a broad range of ethnicity and needs. Hamilton High School not only helps their students and families but also any student in CUSD that is identified with a need. They also assist families in crisis, situations with food, financial support, school supplies, clothing and other basic needs. There are some children whose only meal of the day is the school sponsored lunch.

Smile Donor Youth Chapter Co-Founders Puja and Neil Rastogi have organized a charity hike on Nov 16, 2019 to raise funds for this cause and help their fellow students. The goal is to raise $5000 to help the homeless & underprivileged students and families at Hamilton High School.
