USA Youth Chapter

“Ni Hao Ma?” Meaning “How are you?” was more familiar to me than its English version primarily because I spent 3 years in Chengdu, China when my Dad was relocated by his company a few years after I was born in Portland, OR. I am now a student at Arizona State University. For the past two years I’ve been a Cadet of the JROTC Air Force Wing at Hamilton High School. I have studied three years of Mandarin in Jr. High and High School. I am a thinker and a quiet leader. My inclination is to question the status quo and in my spare time I prefer to read. I am extremely creative with my hands. I have built my upper body strength by regular exercise, but I am gentle by nature and a good listener. My strength lies in the fact that I try to comprehend a problem in its entirety, analyze the situation and then get into execution mode. I am a team player, thoughtful and very patient. Being part of the Chandler Mayor’s Youth Commission gives me an opportunity to be involved with local community projects and to give back to the community I live in.
